After the sudden death of her mother, Alsinia was crowned Queen. Thrown into the pit of it all, she tried her best to give her people what they wanted. But in many attempts to grant some of their requests, she could never make her people happy. Many hated her due to the fact her father threw the crown at her. She had no choice but to be Queen. An arranged marriage, she was forced into making a peaceful alliance with, loomed at the back of her mind as she loved another. Did Alsinia have a choice? No, was the answer. If only her mother never died, on that ship, then she would never be Queen. In much desperation to get out of the life she was in, Alsinia did the one thing her people told her about in stories to never do. She Prayed to the Dragon God. The God of Death. She wanted answers and hope. She never thought it would lead to chaos and destruction. She never thought he was real until he came. The Dragon God came and killed the ones with tainted hearts. Her kingdom was destroyed. Then she ran. She ran away from her kingdom. She ran away from her duties in being Queen until he came. When praying to the dragon god there comes a price. Her next task was to go to retrieve the dragon god's bones. If not obtained, Alisina will be cursed. A curse that can not be undone. Can Alsinia find the bones in time as well as keep the promises she failed to keep? Will Septimius, a desperate father, get in her way as his goal in life is to destroy the dragon god? Where will these promises lead these characters? Or will they fail as they did in the past? *Note to readers: This book is a work in progress and maybe edited and changed as I write more. Rose Thornabell is the last witch in the Thornabell line. Her family was slaughtered by the king in front of her. She was taken from her home and imprisoned by the king for his own selfish needs. She thought this was going to be her life until she died. That was until a cursed prince appeared before her. Thaddeus Sliver was cursed when he was a child. Being the eldest, all he dreamed was to claim the throne when he was 25. With his 25th birthday around the corner, his dream seems to be out of reach. His younger brother, James, is in line for the crown. The king decided that having a cursed monster as king would bring shame to his name. He thought all hope was lost until he stumbled before Rose in the woods of the castle grounds. They come to an agreement to help each other. Break Thaddeus' curse and as king he'll release Rose from her imprisonment. But what happens when Thaddeus begins to have other motives to becoming king? What will happen when Rose begins to realize that maybe not all royals are monsters? "I don't just spout nonsense, Rose. I'm not a man that plays around. So, believe me when I tell you that I want you, I mean it." "You are my beauty I look to, to see the world. You're something I look upon to find peace in the war raging in my mind. You told me people see you and say monster, but when I see you, I think, home." None of the art I share is mine! I take no credit for the art. There will be mature themes in this story so please read at your own risk. I hope you stick around to find out what happens and thank you for reading my story!
