"Mr. McLean, do you know what this means?" Chef asked Chris showing him the large stack of paperwork. 

Chris was outraged, yelling incoherently, throwing things around to shout, "That she's suing me!" 

"Not quite." said Chef with a shake of his head. 

"What do you mean?"

"It's her daddy. You know how it is." said Chef with a nonchalant shrug. "But she still wants to play."

"What? But I thought -"

"No, sir. Under her consent she has the right overruling at any given moment. She only wants to compete." said Chef showing him the fine print. "She won't do nothing. You still gonna let her play?" 

Chris sighed, heavily before picking up his drink to take a long swig. Rubbing the creases from his forehead, he exasperated, "Yeah. She can play. She does give us pretty good ratings, so... what about her parents?"

"What about them?" asked Chef. "They're not gonna do anything either. Just make sure Syd don't lose another finger. Or you're done." 

"Gee, no pressure." remarked Chris with a heavy sigh.
