McKenna Bertinelli is the number one women's college ice hockey recruit and is starting her freshman year at the University of Wisconsin. Always humble and never one to brag about her skills on the ice, she is making a big jump to play on the women's team from playing with the guys all during high school. McKenna is trying to leave a life full of problems and ghost back home in Boston but she soon learns that no matter where she goes, she will always be haunted by the ghost of her past.
