Meredith Grey is a mom of two 1 year old girls. She is also going through a terrible and long divorce. Meredith just moved to Seattle to get away from her abusive relationship. She is also starting at a new job as a 3rd grade teacher at Seattle Grace Elementary. Derek Shepherd  is a 5th grade teacher at SGE he has been divorced for 2 years he has full custody of his son and is not in a relationship.
