Piper McLean leads about a million school committees, is a self-proclaimed clean freak, and probably comes as close to "perfect" as anyone could get. Sure, she's a closeted bisexual but who cares, right? Then Jason Grace, who's moments away from being thrown off the soccer team for his abysmal English grades, becomes a peer mentee and maybe things aren't so bad after all.

Frank Zhang's been dating his dream girl - she doesn't care that he looks like an overgrown baby or that he trips over his own feet far too often for a hockey player. The one catch; Hazel Levesque is too afraid to tell her parents that she's been seeing someone for six months.

Down the road from the school, Leo Valdez is starting his engineering apprenticeship - which is great except for the noisy art students downstairs and a pretty girl who plays the harp far too loudly.
