[SLOW UPDATES] Banished from the sky, a fallen star finds its way into the kingdom of Noctis - but in the form of a human. A curse or a blessing, Stella can't make up her mind as she adjusts to her new life. With tension in the kingdom rising, Stella finds herself thrown into the middle of it all. EXTRACT FROM BOOK: "I wish I could stay," she whispered to the stars - to the company she had once been forced to exist silently alongside - as her fingers coiled around the wooden banister of the balcony. "I know that this life is not my own, that it is borrowed time, but I wish to have longer here." With him, were the words she left unsaid. Stella knew that the stars could hear her, that they could see her, but she did not care. She didn't flinch as a harsh whip of wind lashed across the bare skin of her arms, waking goosebumps in its trail; her mind was solely focused on a pair of moonstone eyes and hair as black as night.

Reading fairy tales has become her way to escape the reality of her unfortunate, cruel life. Castles, fairies, princesses, princes, true love and true love's kisses. Countless nights, she repeatedly wished on the moon and stars, her heart filled with fragile hope that maybe, one day, she would experience one of those worlds she used to read in her old, worn books. If her wish seemed impossible like the castles and crowns, she hoped that, at least she would find true love. After countless nights of countless wishes, it seemed the moon and stars had finally heard her prayer. Yet the answer they granted was far from ordinary. It was an absurd twist of fate that would turn a simple damsel's yearning into the beginning of a tale unknown. ~ Trope & Genre: Gayxgirl, fairytale, and fantasy
