Mature
Growing up with a flighty, unavailable mother for the most prominent years of your childhood then subsequently being dumped into foster care at the tender age of eight for 18 months really shapes a girl. It's hard adjusting to normal life after that; moving down the coast and living with your functional and loving father and new family definitely was not something Akasha Wayland saw coming. 11 years later after building a new life with her dad, stepmom and twin brothers, getting accepted into the college of her dreams and having two best friends that anyone could have, life couldn't get any better. All of the worst years were behind her now... or so she thought. Horrible, terrible secrets and skeletons that aren't so dead after all threaten to unravel life as she knows it. All because she picked up a guitar again.
