With the opening of the Pokémon League in Alola, gym leaders need to be chosen. Y/n, being the reining champion of Kalos since she was 15 has been chosen to help guide the selection of the new leaders. Before her tropical trip her bestfriend Shauna, convinced her to see a psychic. The cards reveled that she would meet the love of her live on her trip, not that she actually believed it. 

Guzma is struggling with fitting in with the crowd now that he disbanded Team Skull. With people treating him like actual garbage he finds it is becoming hard to find people to get close to, until he meets a tourist from Kalos by mistake. 

*This story switches back and fourth from the POV from the reader and Guzma. There is some not so nice language and adult themes... *Ahem* NSFW scenes do happen and I will note at the beginning of a chapter when that happens . The story is told from the perspective of a female protagonist.*

Meanwhile, in the shadows, Team Plasma reorganizes, gaining strength under corrupt Sages and officers and led by Ghetsis. The team preaches a new direction, but the same motives added to a more "direct" and violent approach. It searches for objects it's lost and powerful members who've fled; all the while planning a destructive and unstoppable endgame, eventually crossing paths with Riley. The new trainer sees Team Plasma's vile actions and builds up a hatred for it, becoming determined to stop them whenever they meet while continuing THE JOURNEY OF A CHAMPION. He doesn't need to complain about life but sadly his childhood was so terrifying it scarred him forever, he'll always want to know what love feels like but he shelters himself because it's for the best. He tries to better himself starting in September, so he's getting ready for back to school night at Rockport Elementary where he teaches and he has no idea that this pacific night his entire life is about to be flipped upside down.
