With the opening of the Pokémon League in Alola, gym leaders need to be chosen. Y/n, being the reining champion of Kalos since she was 15 has been chosen to help guide the selection of the new leaders. Before her tropical trip her bestfriend Shauna, convinced her to see a psychic. The cards reveled that she would meet the love of her live on her trip, not that she actually believed it.
Guzma is struggling with fitting in with the crowd now that he disbanded Team Skull. With people treating him like actual garbage he finds it is becoming hard to find people to get close to, until he meets a tourist from Kalos by mistake.
*This story switches back and fourth from the POV from the reader and Guzma. There is some not so nice language and adult themes... *Ahem* NSFW scenes do happen and I will note at the beginning of a chapter when that happens . The story is told from the perspective of a female protagonist.*

The Journey of A Champion: A Pokemon Fanfic
Unova, a region where hundreds of Pokemon are still undiscovered and a year before the immoral Team Plasma threatened the peace. Due to the Hero and his friends' valiant efforts the evil organization was disbanded; members scattered across Unova. Now, Professor Juniper has come back from her journey of assisting the new champion to an eager young girl, one whose Pokemon journey was put off for years by the events, Riley. And the minute the professor returns she's out the door. As her journey begins, Riley meets a young boy who's labeled himself as a failure, but refuses to accept her help or convenience her with respect. They reluctantly travel together and Riley becomes aware of a name being used to refer to her: Champion, though she hasn't won any gym badges or done anything special. Meanwhile, in the shadows, Team Plasma reorganizes, gaining strength under corrupt Sages and officers and led by Ghetsis. The team preaches a new direction, but the same motives added to a more "direct" and violent approach.
