Izuku Midoriya and his mother lived alone together because Inko Midoriya(or Izuku's mom) decided not to tell her boyfriend she was pregnant, but they were happy. When Izuku was 4 years old, it was time to find out his quirk, so they went to the doctor and found out he has multiple powerful quirks. The doctor told him to keep it a secret because it was too dangerous, so he and his mother told everyone he was quirkless.

When katsuki was five he felt weird when Izuku was around he would feel his face heat up and his heat beat quicker. It only got worse a few days after his sixth birthday party, not only was his face hearing up and his heart beating fast, he started to sweat more and ended up getting emotionally attached not wanting deku out of his site.
