I never pictured us ever fighting like that. I thought that we would figure it out. But it's so messy now.

What was I supposed to do? Act like everything was perfectly normal, when nothing was. Well guess that I wasn't good at acting at all.

I was completely lost. I didn't even know what to think. Nobody has ever measured how much the heart can hold. Part of me wanted to believe him but I couldn't throw myself into fire when I was already burning.

"I'm sick of you screaming like that. You're going to wake up the whole neighborhood. Stop being so dramatic and stubborn."

I couldn't breathe. He removed his hand from my mouth but kept his other one on my fists holding them tightly behind my head.

"I just need you to understand." He whispered.

Hi gaze was focused on my dry lips. He was battling it so hard. He wanted to. I could see it. We kept looking each other in the eyes. His breathing and his touch- everything felt like fire on my skin. I was completely overwhelmed.

I begged him to stop but he didn't care. I knew exactly what he was capable of and yet, I didn't do anything to stop him.

#1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. Sitting in the booth across from Ace seemed strange. I've never been on a motorcycle until I met Ace, I've never gone anywhere after school until today, and I've never been taken out by a so-called "bad boy". "You need to be spontaneous," he says running a hand through his blonde head of hair. His blue eyes glistening while watching me. "Surprised that word is in your vocabulary," I reply making a laugh escape his lips. I smile nervously then look down to hide it. "You need to do something that will spike your energy." Ace states while his eyes scan the whole room. "Like alcohol?" I ask him in confusion about why he used the word "spike" instead of something else. He nods his head then his eyes lock onto a waiter ordering food. A smirk appearing on his lips making me gulp in fear. "Kiss him."
