Nico, was lonely.
He really was.

Sure he had his friends and siblings but a small (microscopic, really) part of him craved romance. He wanted someone to love forever and someone to love him back. He'd seen the other couples and he ignored them, but he couldn't deny, he wanted it too. He had a crush on Percy and was brozoned (Percy wasn't his type anyway). He then crushed on Solace but quickly got over it when he found himself supporting WYssa alongside Ellen and Cecil (he confessed anyway to help him get over it)

He wanted someone to love, but he doubted someone would love him back.

Little does he know that a rejected lonely Praetor has been craving the same thing.

Apollo, however, is ignoring this order. He cares a little too much about Percy to watch him suffer in silence. But when a new threat arises, how will the Olympians handle it? How will the demigods handle it? This is very all over the place, but I think it turned out well in the end. (This is future me in brackets, btw, it did not turn out well lmao). In this story, Nico is overprotective of Percy (still solangelo though) as a best friend. He's forgiven Percy for the whole ordeal about Bianca and now they're pretty close, both confiding in each other about things they never thought they'd tell a soul.
