Elizabeth Parker and Kim Burgess are best friends, and they have been for three years. They first met when Liz got back from Her 8 year tour in Afghanistan. Liz is also close with Kevin Atwater, whom she went to the academy with. When she was in Afghanistan she'd lost her parents and wasn't able to come home to the funeral.
