The people yearned for a skin.
They had their skin detaching. They knew it was a disease, but then, no one knows why or where it came from. A town in the Midwest believed that it was God that is retrieving it, and to return your detached skin to normal, you have to be the vigorous one to snatch other people's skins and have them be yours.
It was chaos for the public when the first time the skin-snatching occurred. But as time had gone by, the people who have the skin ailment did the rapturing behind the curtains.
No one knows who is whom now. Maybe someone just beside you who's waiting for a perfect time to peel your skin.
