Fading Shadows Book One- Rising

The three Clans of the Mountain Territory have been living there for many, many moons. There have been battles, sickness, friendship and loss through their moons at the territory. The clans are MapleClan of the forest territory, ValleyClan of the valley territory and StreamClan of the marsh territory.

Smallkit has always been the butt of the joke around the ValleyClan camp. She is the smallest kit they have ever seen and doesn't seem to be growing into a bigger cat as she gets older. Her mother, Dovespark, loves her dearly, but her father, Grasspelt is disappointed in having a runt for a daughter.

Smallkit's denmates, Volekit, Bumblekit and Marshkit all make fun of her as well. They may be half a moon younger than her, but she is smaller than all three of them. When they gain their apprenticeships before her, she loses all hope of being seen as normal in her Clan. She knows she needs to do something big to catch their attention.
