Ezra and Kei were trying to start a new life in the mortal world. Ezra found a job, and Kei got himself a babysitter and teacher--a kind elderly woman who lived next door, accepting no payment from Ezra for all her work. Ezra worked hard to give Kei a comfortable life, but the mortal world was far too different from his own. He wanted to find a way to fit in, make friends and be as humanly normal as possible. And so, when he gets an invitation from Springhills Church, he finds it hard to decline.

Jason White was like any other pastor's kid; kind, generous, and obedient. He wanted to be the man his father always wanted him to be, but all that changed when he met the newest member of their church. Ezra had left him speechless, mind completely blank. But Jason was not gay, and nor would his father ever approve of him being gay. But despite denying it, Jason can't help himself. He befriends Ezra, unintentionally falling in love in the process. Things start out promising, but it all takes a turn for the worse when Ezra's horns are accidentally revealed.

Will Ezra ever be able to give Kei the childhood he deserves? And will Jason come to accept his feelings and love Ezra, despite the whole world being against it?
