Cressida Findlay had found her serendipity in her 3rd year on a seemingly ordinary, winter day, wandering into the library for a book to help her on a transfigurations essay - not that it mattered as of May 2, 1998 - when she was interrupted by the sudden pop and burst of colors of a firework, introducing her to none other than Fred Weasley.
This serendipitous gift was ripped from her grasp five years later as she witnessed it laying there on the floor, lifeless...or was it?

This story takes place after the battle of Hogwarts, it will take place in the wizarding world, but also in New York. It will consist of a series of flashbacks and present-day recollections, but I will format the flashbacks differently so it is clear which is which.
