After the apocalypse, the survivors of the chaos created four clans to protect themselves, based on the horsemen that brought them down; famine, plague, war, and death. After generations of living on the only continent left, though it was ravaged with disaster and chaos, each clan found a babe, swaddled in blankets made of leaves, each with a tattoo across their smooth skin. After they grow up in their clans, never knowing why they have a tattoo or where they came from, the answer finally comes; a prophecy. How will they fare in the battle to fulfill their fated purpose?

This book is a combined effort of two best friends of six years that love to write. We have an Instagram and TikTok (furious_snake_ for both), which we post updates, outtakes, and extras on. Before you read the description of my book, I want to give a few quick disclaimers. The first one is that most of the chapters aren't very long, so the 60 chapters isn't as intimidating to read as it may seem. Second, my story does include the following things that some people may be uncomfortable reading. Cursing/Swearing. Violence, Sex Jokes, Homophobia, And child abuse. Specifically, Name calling, a few things thrown at the child, and scenes with violance against teens)I would give examples directly from the book that would make more sense, but I don't want to give any spoilers for future. I also wanted to say that there isn't anything like sex scenes or suicide, but this isn't for kids either. I won't be using the mature rating because it is not directly made for adults, or young kids. Again, it all depends on what you are aloud to read, or what you are comfortable with reading. In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper.
