Be honest, if someone totally random walked up to you and started preaching about how you don't belong in this world and that soon, a tragedy would push you over the edge of it and back to your own, you'd laugh in their face right? Or at least that was my reaction to his prophetic words.... what a fool I was to ignore him.

Mermaids, beaches, fairies! this place is awesome. someone then snatched the book out my hands. "Mermaids? what is this crap?" I looked up to see Cynthia and her clique. "why do you carry this thing around with you all the time?" I stood up and held out my hand. "give it back." "why? it's not like you can read it, you're stupid." Her words didn't mean anything to me but those words are going to come back to me tonight and punch me in the face. "How old are you? aren't you like 16 and reading this children's book?" How long have you been here Michelle? Tears welled up in my eyes. I knew what was coming next. "answer me, hoe!" "10 years" I mumbled. "10 years and still haven't been adopted? that's sad. why are you still living? no one loves you. no one ever will. I bet your parents crashed their car on purpose just to get away from you." I had enough. I threw myself at her. I slammed my fists into her pretty face. then her clique joined in. I was outnumbered. Everything got blurry after the second kick. Humans are extinct...After a long war between fantasy creatures and humans, the fantasy creatures were victorious and executed all the humans, the fantasy creatures resided in Widow's Peak and are determined to keep control. The creatures went their separate ways to live in different corners of the country, having the vampires ruling it all. In this story though, vampires are going missing and it will cause creatures to fight against each other. Alliances are made, loved ones are lost and everything that each creature built is at risk. . . . "Call off this plan of yours immediately, if you choose not to, the blood and limps of you and your sirens would be floating in the ocean, we have more fighters, you're outnumbered" She scoffed and glared at me, "You land creatures believe you're so much stronger than us when you're united but not for long, Ketsuiki. Send all the fighters, witches and rulers you want, we'll kill them all just like we killed Myra. I'm only leaving you alive because you're Knight in shining armor will kill us all if you go missing.", she said in a serious and monotone voice as she walked back into the ocean, turning her back to me, while the sirens began to swim away. As she walked away, thoughts flooded my mind. I couldn't leave her unscratched, she couldn't walk away from me, The Queen of Vampires with no bruises or cuts on her. The girl, who found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, experienced a stroke of misfortune. Following this incident, she was drawn into a world completely foreign to her, where she struggled to adapt to her new life. I was face to face with death. I knew it. I hadn't even realized when his hand had grasped mine. Fear overshadowed all my senses. But after what felt like an eternity, I finally felt my wrist. He was gripping it so tightly that blood could no longer flow to my hand. As I lowered my head to look at the hand clutching my wrist, he used his other hand to grab my chin, turning my face toward his. Then, he pressed his lips to mine. I stood frozen for a moment. Then, I let myself go. For a fleeting instant, he seemed to let himself go too. And then, just like that, he was gone. In an instant, he had vanished. The hand gripping my wrist, the lips pressing against mine-gone. And I was left standing there, completely stunned. It felt as though I had forgotten my own name. I started to tremble. My legs gave out beneath me, and I collapsed to the ground. Sitting there, shaking in shock, I finally understood what he was.
