Lander Maddison is the lead singer to the band Renegade Sundown, a self described "emo" band that has a very, very specific sound, and he wants to keep it that way. When the band's record label, Equinox Harbor Records, decides they want to branch out and end up signing a pop punk act called The Heart Thrums that is more "pop" than "punk", Lander is irritated to learn not only is it fronted by someone he went to high school with (and absolutely loathes), but the record label wants his band to tour with them to help promote the new band and sell the new album.
As the tour gets started, it's pretty clear Lander and Kai Morganson do not get along. At. All. Lander is hard-headed and snobby about music, and Kai is easy going, but argumentative. As the tour progresses, each band member finds ways to push their lead singers together in an effort to make the tour a little easier to get through. What they don't expect is how much Kai and Lander actually have in common, and by the end of the tour, the two of them have become good friends. When the record company begs them to write and release a song together, it becomes clear that there may be something more between them than just friendship. What happens when two people who kind-of, sort-of, sometimes hate each other begin to fall in love? Can Lander get past his lingering feelings of animosity towards Kai for their complicated past? And can Kai let himself fall, regardless of the risks of getting hurt?
When Chef Margot loses her beloved restaurant to her cheating ex-fiance, her best friend, single dad Nathan, steps in with an unexpected offer to help her start over. As they collaborate, sparks fly-but can they overcome their complicated pasts for a chance at real love?
