---------I gasped as my vision was flooded by images of other times; beauty from the past. I saw vast oceans, endless forests, modest settlements, glittering theaters, and many kinds of creatures. After what felt like an eternity, I blinked and Dimitri pulled away. "I wanted to show you some of the lives I have lived, it was the least I could do as I went prying through your memories and knowledge," His voice held tension that wasn't there previously and he was staring off into the distance. "Are you ok?" At the sound of my voice, he came back, looking deep into my eyes, "Why do you hurt so much?" ---------- This is one of my favorites paragraphs so I put it here

They pull me close to them and allow me to rest on their shoulder. As I start to fall asleep again, I look at his face. It was a blurry image, but I know he was pretty cute. Blue eyes and blonde type hair. I look to the other person. He's wearing a plastic hockey mask and covered in blood. I fall asleep before I get to look at the rest of him.Complete

Alone. Naked. Cold. Covered in blood that is just as likely to be mine as someone else's. I don't know who I am, where I am, or what I'm running from. All I get are flashes, snippets of dark shadows, sneering faces. Pain always follows these nightmares, these memories. I was found, taken in, but I have no way of knowing if I only escaped the frying pan just to jump into the fire. I don't understand these people, these wolves. They don't understand me, either. Our words mean nothing to each other, they're no more than sounds. We use gestures, facial expressions, body language like the beasts we seem to be. I can only pray these beasts are not the same ones I'm running from. -This story has depictions of violence, depression, panic attacks, gore. "Silly boy - you dare ask me that question?" I frown at him instantly - taken aback when he gripped my chin. Yanking me close enough towards him, our lips almost touched. The look in his eyes was one I've seen in wild animals who can't control their animalistic behaviors. Except this one was different...it held desire - which I wasn't for at all. "I became Unhinged because of you." That's when I saw him begin to lean towards me, and wasn't having this any longer. I shove my hand onto his lips right when he was about to kiss me. My eyes glaring into his despite the risks of me doing so. "I refuse for my first kiss to be from someone like you." I growl at him, his eyes widening in shock. That's when I push him back and got off of the couch. I saw him watching me with feral eyes that told me I probably angered him even more. Possibly heightening the chances of my removal from this horrid competition. Except I'm not like the other contestants here. Having him isn't my dream, my dream is helping my family - and being here does that. I could care less if he becomes Unhinged.
