What a song... But what's the true story behind it?

Eileen Miller and Andy Stoker had been friends for eight years, best friends for five. During high school, their junior year, their feelings get all jumbled up for each other. And Andy wants to get closer. But there's a problem, how do you ask one of the most prettiest girls out while you hang out with the stoners and badasses? 

The homecoming dance.

Both of them knowing that stories like this never happen to kids like them, but they're willing to try anyway.
