Nearly 500 years have passed since the so-called apocalypse where souls dominated their control over the human vessels and grew into fierce monsters.
A small frail kid saved humanity from getting wiped out of the face of the earth through his strangely powerful and unique techniques and taught them to the humans that followed him.
He became a legend and humans developed special powers called cranks from his teachings. Humans couldn't procreate anymore. A very few thousands of last generation humans that remained or stayed alive by becoming crankers now constitutes the only humanity left on the planet.
And they should continue to keep levelling up their cranks by slaying monsters and siphoning their souls to stay immortal and most of them tend to form teams to increase their odds.
Everything was wrist-slittingly boring like that until one of those teams went ahead and mistakenly awakened the legend kid from his deep, and sound slumber.

On A Quest To Save A Purple Noodle! [A Hat in Time Fanfiction]
I didn't like the other one because I personally thought it was a bit rushed. Even so, I hope you enjoy. Now, time to wing a introduction of this story! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was a week and a couple of days since the hat wearing child saved the world from Mustache Girl. The Mafia were happy, some of them were still waiting for their boss to be gifted a new body, Express Owls and Moon Penguins were glad that no one died, besides them dying to help the child during their fight, Snatcher and his minions were at peace, but were still fighting with the fact that they were still up against Queen Vanessa who is still trying to take over Subcon Forest, the Nomads were glad to be safe from all of the trouble along with the goats from the mountains, and pretty much, everyone was glad to be safe. But that's when the real problems began. You see, Hat Kid had to leave with their best friend who's like a sibling to them, Bow Kid. The two kids had to leave to head back home. And when they did, everyone was heartbroken and a few people had returned back to their old ways. Snatcher being cold and distant, looking for number one(I.E, himself.), Mafia Boss was gifted a robotic body to inhabit for the meantime while dealing with pesky Mu, beating up his mafia men, and last, but not least, the two birds from Dead Bird Studio; Conductor and DJ Grooves. What is to happen if things fall apart? Like, Vanessa kidnapping Snatcher, integrating him on WHY he left her when he is HER prince which causes havoc on the other areas of the world. [Started Writing : 3rd August, 2023] "For fuck sake, leave me alone." I screamed out as tears commenced gathering in my eyes. He said nothing. He just sat there watching me lose my temper. "Answer me." I growled shooting daggers on his way with my eyes. "Be my girlfriend. You will get everything you lost." "I don't want to be." "You have no choice." Anastasia wants nothing but to get out of the hell hole called 'her life'. They say study hard and then you can earn money and have a good life. But despite having a degree in hands she was still jobless. When life was giving her bitter test then when a devil showed up at the door of her heart, dressed like an angel. The devil wants nothing but a favour from her while promising her everything she wants. Morally grey. That's the definition to construe Alex Vesper. Strict, rude, emotionless, focused and evil. He wants nothing but revenge from a certain someone who might have scratched his ego a little bit. And at that time Anastasia was the best option for him.

Something else within me tells me it will be okay. As I get closer, the two men who were facing my direction look towards me and I stop, keeping a safe distance. Hopefully they are able to help me, and not turn me away just because I'm a human. "Hi, um, could you tell me where the front desk is?" The man whose back was facing towards me stiffened. "I think I'm a little..." The man turned toward me so quickly it made my heartbeat waver. His deep blue eyes pierced into my brown ones and called out to me. His jawline was chiseled to perfection, lips parted slightly in awe. Every feature of his face was meticulously handcrafted by God. I never thought I could find a wolf so elegant. He was...beautiful. Something in the air shifted. I could feel it in my bones. "...lost," I finished my sentence after a brief pause. No one answered me. Did I say something wrong? Someday - A Short Story
Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first.
