The only clue as to what happened is a gift her parents gave her as a child, and the promise that came with it. A wooden pendant with the power to summon a "friend" the day she turned twelve. Someone she is still waiting to meet... and trying desperately to find. It doesn't take long for Soojin to realize that this person is only one thread in a larger web, and that pulling it will begin to unravel the truth of what happened all those years ago. Her parents' promise wasn't the only one she carried from that day, either. Something else made a promise to her too... the same thing that's been chasing her, and the reason that she's running. I have no idea what to do, I have no idea how I can save my family and everyone else. Time is running out, and I feel like the whole world has turned against me.
