Calista is searching for excitement, meaning, and ultimately a companion in life. She plans to spend a year in Italy with her older sister to find this but before her journey can even start it is impaired with her ship being delayed. With fear that she will be late to her sisters she makes a rash decision to board Obsidian Bones, a supposed cargo ship that agrees it take her to Italy for a fee. Within a few days she discovers its much more than a cargo ship, but a pirate ship. Surrounded by ocean she can only manage with the situation she got herself into. As she is stranded on the ship she finds out quickly that theres more to the harsh Captain Macey has more to him than what meets the eye. As the weeks go by its harder to remember why she boarded the ship in the beginning. When they reach Italy she must choose whether to go with her sister or to go against her proper past and become a part of the crew.
