"I don't need your fucking protection.", the girl cleared up.

She wasn't weak, she didn't need to rely on someone's help. If there was one thing Elisabeth hated, it was being pitied.

"And I sure as hell don't need you.", she added to end this nerve wracking discussion once and for all.

But instead of bitterly withdrawing himself from the conversation like he usually would, he stayed calm. "I know you don't need me, but don't you want me?"
