When she turned thirteen she went to live on Crescent Island with her grandfather but she hid from the world wearing a mask and hiding. Then she met the Avatar and her granfather sent her with them. She thought that their fight was already over that her father had won and that she would never have a real place to call home and be safe, until she meets the Water Tribe boy. But how about an Air Nomad even older than Avatar Aang himself? Born in the Western Temple, Nara got her tattoos at 11 years old. She was the youngest person to ever become a master in Air Nomad history. Born with a true talent, the Southern Temple noticed her abilities. They had an "important" student on their hands, and now that this student's master was getting too old and frail to continue his lessons, they requested she taught the kid instead. She fled from home at 14 years old to the Southern Temple to train the avatar himself. Life was great, she loved her student and enjoyed watching him grow. But after a certain threat, Aang ran away, and Nara followed him not knowing how history would play out for her and the young avatar. Hello everybody! I'm not going to rant about it like last time, but I'm going to say something: Please read all of my other books before you read this one if you want to understand anything at all. My account is literally A:TLA book four, with a new book for each adventure. Lol. So this is about them saving The Southern Tribe, obviously, if you couldn't tell by the title. Makinota is just trying to find her old life. Find her purpose. And most importantly, find who she can really trust. But in the end... aren't we all? (Long chapters and irregular updates. Though, I do update and I will keep going. This book in entirely a fountain of unneeded inspiration I can't put anywhere else, and something I do when I get writers block on everything else. Heimat: a place that you can call home; a sense of belongingness, acceptance, safety and connection to homeland A decade has passed after the final battle between the Avatar and the Fire Nation, a decade after the defeat of their Fire Lord. It is a time of prosperity for most, but the crimes commited during the war couldn't be reversed. Benders were taken away from their families, people were slaughtered, their belongings, homes and land taken away. This, had been the instance when it came to the northwest part of the Earth Kingdom, that had went on to become the Fire Nation colonies. The people of the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom lived on in the land that was given to them and gradually, they became one. They collaborated and cooperated in order to live and so they got richer, learnt to depend on each other for their survival. By the end of the war, the people, even though they came from different backgrounds, were one. A decade after the end of the war, the Avatar is commanded to solve the matter of whether the former Fire Nation citizens need to move or not. Aang believes the nations need to be separated. The people in the colonies do not, hatred starts to grow in their hearts. The Avarar will need the help of a companion more than any other time, and there is no better person to aid him than the secret waterbender that's part of the Fire Nation fleet, the woman who risked her own life to get him to safety, even though this had been the first time they had met in their lives. NOTE: Any characters that do not appear in Avatar: The Last Airbender belong to me. The atla universe belongs to the creators.
