Allyson Sicard was in her final year at Harvard and while her roommates were trying to get their Ivy League boyfriends to propose, Ally was trying to figure out which law school she wanted to graduate from. Columbia had always been her first choice, that was until she met Ben Beneventi.

Ben was a bartender at her favorite club. The two of them met on a night that her roommates left her with a thousand dollar bar tab, but Ben refused to take her money. "Bartender Ben" became the reason for Ally to visit him nightly at the club, and in the process let her studies suffer. Ally's roommates were less than excited that she was going crazy over a local boy, and they thought she could do better.

Ally and Ben had an instant connection that neither are able to explain and they become connected at the hip overnight. Life was perfect until Ally's biggest secret and Ben's past starts to interfere with the present, causing issues for both of them.

When their lives take an unexpected turn, they meet a man named Andrew and he's quick to explain why they feel so connected to each other. Ben understands and believes the stranger, while Ally is more skeptical. Together, the two of them have to be strong and fight for each other. They have to work as a team to make it through the darkest moments of their lives.
