Error was badly injured in a fight against Ink and Dream. In his attempt to escape, he falls through a portal to Undertale just as the world is about the reset. The universe, not knowing what to do with the unfamiliar code, decides to make the skeleton a brother to San and Papyrus.

Dust and Cross used to live here until they moved in with their boyfriends. Error live here for less than a week befor he decided that he preferred to do his evil business alone. Now all the bad Sans's(including error) are retired and living the rest of their lives with the ones they love.... That doesn't mean that they're nice or good or non murderous. It just means they're not looking for trouble any more. It tends to come to them. But boardom is their worst enemy now. Unwanted protection
Everyone knows the Star Sanses: they're the Guardians of the Multiverse, and protect it from Nightmare and his minions, who only want to spread chaos and destruction. They're kind, strong, brave, the good guys! How can you not love them? You can't. They deserve the world. They're perfect and selfless and precious, and must be protected at any (and I do mean ANY) cost. Not that they couldn't protect themselves, of course! It's just, the Multiverse doesn't give them the appreciation and respect they deserve, not really. But Nightmare, Error, Horror, Killer, Dust, Cross... they know how much Dream, Ink and Blue are worth. And they'll keep them safe. Forever.
