Error was badly injured in a fight against Ink and Dream. In his attempt to escape, he falls through a portal to Undertale just as the world is about the reset. The universe, not knowing what to do with the unfamiliar code, decides to make the skeleton a brother to San and Papyrus.

Unwanted protection
Everyone knows the Star Sanses: they're the Guardians of the Multiverse, and protect it from Nightmare and his minions, who only want to spread chaos and destruction. They're kind, strong, brave, the good guys! How can you not love them? You can't. They deserve the world. They're perfect and selfless and precious, and must be protected at any (and I do mean ANY) cost. Not that they couldn't protect themselves, of course! It's just, the Multiverse doesn't give them the appreciation and respect they deserve, not really. But Nightmare, Error, Horror, Killer, Dust, Cross... they know how much Dream, Ink and Blue are worth. And they'll keep them safe. Forever. The credit of this story partially belongs to Stargazer_Aldroth, who created a prompt on AO3 and helped me flesh out the story before I started writing. Bad guy Sans's
Dust's fiance is Blueberry Cross's husband(/wife) is Dream Nightmares boyfriend is Killer Horrors boyfriend is Lust Errors husband(/wife) is Ink Samuel, Scrooge, and Dark are Nightmare and Killers kids Lurro, Tacky, Desire, and Luxath are Horror and Lusts kids Nightmare, killer, Lust, Horror and the kids all live in Nightmares mansion in Dreamtale. Dust and Cross used to live here until they moved in with their boyfriends. Error live here for less than a week befor he decided that he preferred to do his evil business alone. Now all the bad Sans's(including error) are retired and living the rest of their lives with the ones they love.... That doesn't mean that they're nice or good or non murderous. It just means they're not looking for trouble any more. It tends to come to them. But boardom is their worst enemy now. Being a Diamond
Error was just enjoying a day out with himself. Nobody bugging him or fighting for the rights of the universe. And he did not even need to do anything as he was content with his destruction left in his wake from trying to save the multiverse. But, sadly, our glitchy skeleton was about to experience an adventure as he got to experience another universe. But he really does not know what to do with the attention.
