You knew what it was like to carry the weight of guilt, to be trapped by the past. For you, it was the guilt of hurting your own family, a constant reminder of what you had done and couldn't undo. For Todoroki, it was his father's cruel influence, his ongoing struggle with the weight of expectations and resentment that had left him shackled to his past. His quest for revenge and his constant rebellion against his father-his need to prove something-was just a mask. Deep down, he was still a prisoner of his abusive childhood, unable to break free.
⠀ A thought began to form, an urge to do something, anything, to help him. You thought that maybe, just maybe, if Todoroki could free himself from the chains of his past, it would offer you a sense of relief too. The weight of your own guilt could feel a little lighter, as if his freedom could somehow give you the strength to release some of your own burdens. The thought felt comforting, almost like a distant dream, but it was real enough to stir something in your chest.
