Romance
Bella Stevenson's life seems perfect, and it was until a terrible tragedy struck her family. Now her parents work 24/7 and never come home. She's always alone, she has no friends because no one bothers to get to know her. They think she's a freak because of her 4'10 height and different colored eyes so no one ever notices how sad she actually is. No one notices because she plasters on a fake smile and gets straight A's, and volunteers in the cancer ward at the local hospital. She hands out lollipops, and reads aloud to patients, she makes them smile. She is the dictionary definition of a sweetheart. Then there's Colton James. Everyone thinks they know him. They think he's just a cliche bad boy who's dangerous and in a gang. But if people ever bothered to scratch beneath the surface they would see how broken he really is. He just needs someone to get to know him and love him for who he really is. But when he gets diagnosed with osteosarcoma a type of bone cancer, he doesn't think his life can get any worse. But then a tiny adorable girl gives him a lollipop and he thinks he might have found a sweetheart to mend his broken soul.

Here she is. I can see the slope of her spine through that thin shirt. She's made of angles I ache to smooth with a hand, but I'd use my lips if she asked. I brush her knuckles with mine. Her skin is cold, but she flips her palm for more contact. I lace our fingers. It's enough to make her look at me. As those kaleidoscopic eyes meet mine, I hold my breath. Then she sets her lips just under my jaw. It rips the air from my lungs. It's the softest thing I've ever felt. "What was that for," I breathe. She pulls back, lashes damp, and whispers, "You're the kind of person that should be kissed." 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 BOOK TWO C O N T A I N S : ❤︎ mature content ❤︎ romance & friendship ❤︎ yearning Copyright © 2021-present Laurel Montaze (immoralLaurel).
