On Thin Ice is a story about Elenor, who is a figure skater. She doesn't like figure skating, but it is her mother's dream so she is forced to spend many hours per day on the ice and her weekends at competitions. Her father disappeared when she was five without a trace or explanation, so she finds love in a boy named Kale. One day, she discovers that there is a reason for everything, and it is found in something that she thought only happened in the imagination of children. Elenor struggles to determine what is reality, and who she was really meant to be. I started writing this story in 2010, when I was twelve. It was all handwritten, and not double spaced--it took up a whopping three notebooks! I had some friends read it, and they recommended that I type it up and post in on Wattpad. Since I have matured significantly in my writing style and emotional knowledge since I was in 6th grade, I've changed some of the elements and made it in an easier style to read. I'm going to add new parts as I type them up, and I hope to have the whole novel up on Wattpad by this Christmas. This novel is appropriate for most readers. It has some smoking, mild mental health issues, alcohol use, and some mild language. Content-wise, it should be good for most people over the age of twelve.
