After a lot of tragic events, Kion and his Lion Guard finally arrive at the Tree of Life. They are surprised to find that a mysterious group of lions who live there won't allow him in.
As he grows desperate to find new healing, his friendships with the Lion Guard break apart even more. As the same time, a growing darkness finds its way inside his heart. Beginning to hold more grudges, being more hostile, and just not having the will to keep fighting, Kion slowly turns into a lion his friends have never seen before.
Will they find a way to prevail, or is this the end of Kion's story?

When Two Paths Cross - Kion x Rani
This is going to be my first Kion x Rani book and I'm writing it because I can't think of anything else to solve my writers block. When Kopa who is acting as King for the Pride Lands tries to conquer the Tree of Life but fails as Scar invades with an army, the Lion Guard are kicked out and Kion and Rani go on a crazy adventure. After some discussion, the Lion Guard is allowed entrance, but Kion is refused due to an outburst. Out of anger and sadness, Kion runs away. He soon finds his way back and saves the Tree of Life just in time. Little do the Tree of Life residents know, that another great evil has been resurrected and is threatening to usurp the throne and takeover the Tree of Life.
