Balance is key; discovery lies in mistakes; and pebble covered pavement . . . well, that just leads to broken bones. Amaryllis is trying to find a loophole in each of these little sayings. Maybe the fact that she lacks balance both literally and metophorically doesn't mean very much. Maybe she could discover something without the pesty accompaniment of accidents. Or, maybe she could find a way to skate around on her driveway without taking a nosedive onto the pavement. Simply put, she wanted life to be easy. Little does the eleven-year-old girl know, life isn't easy. Her skills, both as a young skater and as a childhood creative means Amaryllis has a role to help others. She has a role to become a Pioneer.
