Hadley Miller is fed up with her mother--moreso at the fact that she uses her older sister as a measuring stick. Unlike other parents, she isn't focused on grades. She's focused on her daughters social life--or lack therof. Even worse, she's always insisting on setting Hadley up with boys. The pressure builds and when she just can't take it anymore she results to blurting out that she has a boyfriend, a guy named Elijah Brookes. The problem? There is no Elijah Brookes--now she need's a fill in. Things take a complicated twist when the boy who shows up is her (ex) crush from highschool, who is consequently also the reason she had to redo Grade 11 chemistry class.
