Danae has never wanted to marry, but with the rebellion brewing she strikes a deal to keep the people she loves safe. Danae proceeds through the competition and seems to find a fight within herself as she tries to figure out who exactly she is, while still trying to understand everyone around her. As Danae tries to navigate the new challenges and the uprising in the country, she learns there's more to the kingdom than courting of the prince. The war is raging, and it will eat this world alive if Danae doesn't stop it.
