My hands shook as I sat in front of my great abuelo. The soft look in his eyes letting me know it was ok, that I could tell him anything. To tell him what was on my mind and would never judge me for it. 

"Owen, you can tell me anything. If you want it to be kept a secret I will. You shaking and bouncing your knee is worrying me a little. You can tell me." Came his soft voice. From the silence, the softness filled it letting me know I could tell him. 

Tears ran down my cheeks making my hands shake even more with my fingers picking at each other. My heart was pounding in my chest it amazed me that Abuelo couldn't hear it. With a shaky breath, I looked at my great grandfather and said the words. Words I never really expected to come from my mouth but have. And the more I think, the more it makes sense to me.
