!!This work is not for those under the age of 18!! - Companionship. It's not a lot to ask for. A friend. A lover. An enemy. As long as someone knows you're there-they acknowledge your existence- it makes life a little less harsh. It becomes a little easier to breathe; you're not alone anymore. Ren Hana was lonely for a long time. Whether the world was playing a cruel joke or just helping out, it finally brought someone into his life. Strade. Although Strade had odd philosophies, he cared for Ren. So much in fact, he taught Ren how to truly get to know a person. In that way, what they shared was deeper than any normal person could understand. It was abuse by any rational person's standards, but that 'abuse' was what made their bond that much stronger. It wasn't bliss by any means, but it was something. A bond; companionship. Then, Strade was gone. Again, the world was either playing a cruel joke or trying to help. Again, Ren was alone-but it would be different this time- he would take what Strade taught him and create a new companion! It took two years and a lot of planning, but he finally found someone suitable. Lawrence Oleander. It was supposed to be simple, Ren would invite Lawrence to a bar, slip something into his drink, drag him home, and then he could begin his training! At least, that was what was supposed to happen... Playing a cruel joke or trying to help? Only the world knows the answer.

Pessimist

[01/07/2021] - [13/04/2023] "You can't keep going around like a fucking maniac and treating me like shit. That isn't how relationships work," Sophia's voice was havoc as she verbalized her emotions. "That isn't how we work..." Tired, vulnerable and agitated at not only him, but herself. How could she let herself get this far, in such little time? He looked down, ashamed, not wanting to respond. His heart felt like it was beating faster than it should've. "I forgot how it felt to love you." As soon as those words were uttered from Sophia's lips, his world broke apart. Gone, in just a matter of seconds. - - - When Sophia Adam moves to a new town, she wishes nothing more than a boring, new life, to separate herself from her past. Moving meant completing university and getting a clerkship with a judge. Moving meant making refreshing new friends, and meeting a mysterious guy that seems hell-bent on getting to know her. To Sophia, moving to a new town was everything she imagined and more. She just didn't expect her past to follow.
