To be with him

He places his hand on my face drawing my lips with his thumb. "It doesn't matter what we want, we can't be together."

I felt my heartbreak all over again. "Why can't we?" I felt tears rush down from my eyes. "I want you. You want me! What stops us from being together."

He pulled me on top of him so I was straddling him. "I know you do." I rest my head on his chest and he wraps his arm around me resting his head on top of mine. "but sometimes, we don't always get what we want princess."
