At 6:66 am the Arkase family lost their hopes for a normal family when their eldest daughter was born alive and well. Of course for humans this would be a joyous moment, but for the ancient vampiric family this was an omen. Even so the mother couldn't bring herself to kill the baby girl she had brought into this world even if she had a birth defect. A heart beat was what would seal little Katrina's fate. Placed in a tower in the miles away from her birth place she grew with no love or family and it was how she came to understand the world. As a cold and lonely place.
