A familiar face from Derek and Mark's past arrives at Seattle Grace Hospital - a former student, a brother, and a friend. Dr. Eric Keaton, a neurosurgeon/trauma surgeon, trained by Dr. Derek Shepherd at New York Presbyterian; where he met Dr. Mark Sloan.

Deciding to work at Seattle Grace Hospital, He expected that these two doctors, who he considered as brothers would be a part of his life again. Little did he know that not only old brothers will be regained, but an unexpected connection to a stranger that is beginning to make an impact in his life.
