The Right Angle of Love
They say that if you truly love someone, you will do everything for them, even if it hurts, even if it's wrong, and even if it's not what you need. ...... This story revolves around Crystella A. Castillo, a nonchalant but overreactive girl. She's a mix of silly and serious, a top-notcher in their school, but not the friendly type. She's sometimes shy, and whenever she gets heartbroken or having a problem, she ends up crying a lot. When it comes to love, sobrang malas niya, at least, that's what people say. Lagi siyang na-go-ghost, or minsan, hanggang talking stage lang, hindi na umaabot sa next level kasi bigla na lang hindi nagre-reply yung guy. But somehow, everything changes when a certain boy shows up. He is Kurt Matthew Dela Cruz III, a charming transferee who instantly catches everyone's attention. He's cute, friendly, a bit OA, playful, sporty, and also excels in academics. Sa mata ng iba, parang siya na yung "perfect guy." Interestingly, Kurt becomes Crystella's rival in academics, or at least, that's how it seems. They constantly compete, pushing each other to do better, even if neither of them admits it. They say that the more you hate someone, the deeper you fall for them. Pero totoo kaya yun? Will they feel it too? Magbabago kaya ang tingin nila sa isa't isa as time goes by? Crystella has always been searching for her "right angle" in life....her kind of love, the one that fits perfectly. Meanwhile, Kurt has been trying to find what's right for his own version of love. For the booksmart yet naïve 16-year-old Nicky, high school in her quaint little hometown island in the Philippines had always been predictable. Until that senior year. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island. And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel. This was fully uploaded on Wattpad in September 2013 for safekeeping. I hadn't gotten back to it in so many years nor find any means and time to promote it.
