Mya Evans is hard of hearing and, despite the challenges she faces, is enrolled in Los Feliz High School's music program. Her peers don't know, which has worked against her social image as Mya has become the school "slacker" and "loner." She doesn't always hear students trying to start conversations with her, she misses important lecture information, and worst of all, Mya can't hear all of her classmates' performances. Will that still be the case when Julie Molina takes the stage with her new band?
