Mark Tuan, the heir to the most powerful mafia ever known, was a go-easy, carefree, cheerful, happy guy, with a smile on his face all the time. He could care less about being the next mafia leader after his father, which irked his father very much. And because of this, the old mafia leader decided to appoint a bodyguard, for him, for his safety. That's where Evangeline Black stepped in.

Evangeline or Eva Black is a very intelligent, smart, talented, quick-witted, agile, sexy, gorgeous, perfect, strong girl who could make you shiver in fear just with her cold stare. She always had an emotionless face, hiding all the scars, life gave her. She was the best member a mafia could have, best in fighting, best in shooting, best in spying, and the list goes on.

Sparks flew when Mark Tuan and Eva Black first met. They fell in love before fate decided to play a cruel game with them, leaving them broken and separated and making them lose a part of themselves.

Six years later,

Mark was now the ruthless, cold-hearted mafia leader, who didn't give a shit about anyone or anything. Gone was the all-time happy guy, he once was. Gone was the young man who loved others as he did himself. Now, he lived with a bleeding heart.

Whereas Eva was still the same girl with the emotionless face, except for the fact that, now she wore her heart on her sleeve, proudly, the confidence only he gave her. And this time it was not her body that was scarred, it was her heart.
