One of my favorite songs is "Bring It Home to Me" by Sam Cook. 

I don't know how I listened to that song and wrote this poem. It barely makes sense, but it was a craving. 

Being out of reach and out of touch. Desired.

Let It Consume You

Give yourself time to feel your emotions But don't let them control you Let it consume you But not forever. There are moments in life when you have to let yourself feel, the pain the trauma, the depression the anxiety. There are also moments you have to force yourself out of the darkness, before it fully consumes you. These poems are the moments, when I stewed in my sadness, gave it the steering wheel. But are also the moments I grabbed the wheel and took control. This book is for those healing Those fighting Those who are speaking up And those who are silent
