[Short Story, a little fast pace] "What are you doing in our territory, rogue?" The man snarls at me. "M-Me no b-bring h-harm." I whimper. The man laughs bitterly at me before grabbing me by the neck harshly. "I don't know what game you're trying to play you vile creature but this whole innocent act is going to get you nowhere." I gasp when he bares his teeth at me. "Don't worry, I'll put you out of your misery." I close my eyes, ready for the pain I was about to receive but...It never came. Instead a thunderous growl was heard from behind me. "What the hell is going on here?" The scary man's eyes widen in fear. "A-Alpha? S-She's a rogue and I was just trying to- "SILENCE!" I knew it recognized that tone. He was the Alpha. "Look at me girl." The guy releases me from his tight grip. Slowly I turn around to meet the eyes of the scary Alpha. I expected him to hit me or yell but he didn't do anything of that. Although what I didn't expect was for him to whisper, "Mate." // Aurora. We have been on the run for days now. The safety of my children is my priority. I was betrayed in the worst way, and I could not watch him hurt us any longer. I never saw my life going this way but here I am running for my life and my children's. This was the last bus stop, and I had a choice to make. I hope that I would not make the wrong one. He could find us at any moment and I imagine him dragging me all the way back by my hair. I didn't know who to trust but sometimes you just have to take a leap.
