The galaxy is at war. The Elari combine has launched an invasion on the Terran Alliance, with the goal of complete subjugation. This is the story of the most bloody war in human history, fought with weapons of mass destruction never seen before.
Ashley: Conscripted into the Terran Army at the outbreak of the war, she quickly learned the true horrors of war firsthand. With most of her friends dead, and the Terran army growing increasingly desperate, she wonders if she is really fighting for the right side.
Seth: For Seth, war is the best thing that's happened to him. Trained from an extremely young age in the arts of deception, stealth, and murder, at only age 18 he is undeniably one of the best assassins the galaxy has to offer. This war has brought him hundreds of contracts, but none more dangerous- or profitable- than the one offered to him by the Terran Black Ops Division. The contract: Infiltrate the Elari Combine, and eliminate the Elari Princess. Only one issue; he's in love with her. Or at least, doesn't want to kill her, no matter how many zero's the Terran's put in the reward for her death.
But he's not the only person the Terran's hired. All the best assassins in the galaxy are closing on on the Elari home world. Seth has to get to her first- more than his love life could be at stake.
Monica: The princess of the Elari, and heiress to the throne, Monica is a brilliant young individual with untold riches and glory at her fingertips. She is also dying. Her condition is the best kept secret in the galaxy, but it's also the most dangerous. No treatment is working, and it gets worse by the day. However, not everything that her family tells her is the truth. The "disease" has started to grant her unfathomable power, unlike anything ever seen before. And not everyone wants her to be the next Queen of the Elari. Surrounded by layers of intricacy and lies, Monica needs to determine who she can trust- her life, and the fate of the entire galaxy depends on it.

Instead of killing her Rye uses this to his advantage and gives Emerson a choice. With her choice the two are tied together and are a battle that might cost them their lives. With enemies from every region and those planning their demise, the two must fight for the throne with everything they've got. While they fight for the throne they also fight for each other's hearts.
