During a solo mission, visiting the Seelie Realm, she was kidnapped by someone; ending up missing for almost 2 months. After Alec waking up to an empty bed for those 2 painful months, he was ecstatic to find the Institute doors to open, and Melanie fall in, injured and on the verge of death.
