Carter Jennings has never been the type to stumble upon having plenty of friends. she never quite really fit into the category of being popular.
After Carter find out that her dads job moved him to another location, which is new york,really different than Wisconsin,where she came from,they move there. totally different habitat for her.
Attending her new school,"Spellman High",she finds that things aren't so peaches & cream when she clashes with the most popular girl in school,Vanessa Tate. Carter doesn't like to hold grudges so she befriends Vanessa,leaving her friend whom she had met before Vanessa,Jace Alequin, she realizes that she shouldn't have.
