In this AU, the protagonist, 25 year old Singaporean Hafiz has a strong dance background, to the point where he was personally hand picked by Simon Fuller to be part of the Now United project as the boys' choreographer. Being exempted from National Service after he declared his homosexuality allowed him to fully focus on getting this new group to warm up to him without any military distractions; even Mr Fuller himself didn't mind it. Among the members of the global pop group is an adorable China boy named Krystian Wang Nanjun, who always thought he was straight until he met Hafiz on the day he was recruited; this encounter causes Krystian to question his sexuality especially when Hafiz starts flirting with him.
