Hermione's brother Caspian, has been missing ever since her father died when she was 11. Before they found out she was a witch. After Dumbledore dies, she is sent to live with her grandfather Diggory Kirke otherwise known as Professor Kirke, because of the upcoming war in the wizarding world. And because her mother died. While at the mansion, she meets the Pevensie children. Lucy; age 14, Edmund; age 16, Susan; age 18, and Peter; age 20. She discovers that they have also been to Narnia. Of course she has been to Narnia seeing as she is the guardian of Narnia. When she is in Narnia for the second time, with the Pevensies, she meets Prince Caspian. Is it just a coincidence that he looks like her brother and bears the same name? And is she developing feelings for a certain Edmund Pevensie?

Slowly, she folded the letter from her sister. Her mind overflowed with thoughts and her blood burdened with envy. She was conflicted with mixed emotions. Around a year after they have returned from Narnia Edmund falls ill and the doctors believe they cannot save them. A message from Aslan reaches the Pevensies; they can save Edmund if they go to Narnia, for the illness will not exist in that world.
